PMU Products
We
are always in the
hunt for
new products and designs to craft in carbon
fiber. Our current offerings are listed below. If you have any
questions, ideas or custom instruments do not hesitate to contact us.
Precision Whistles

Our
high D whistle was a sellout in
Seattle, so we are adding to
our product line. If a whistle could have ever been built of ebony this
is
what it would sound like. The thin wall process of our tapered
whistle design gives incredible response of the lower octave. when
playing with other instruments these notes are rarely heard, but not
with CarbonyTMcomposite!
We give the whistle player a greater low end
producting a volume balance in all registers. Also available in C and
in low
whistle keys of A, G, F and D with anodized aluminum King machined
fipples with brand new marbled color ebonite hard rubber tips!
Please
contact us if you have interest in other size whistles or keys.

Didgeridoos

We
offer
the worlds first carbon
fiber slide tunable didgeridoo. Our three section didge spans
an octave from A to A and the two section ranges from
low C all the way up to A. The inner slide has a molded
interior taper yielding a much richer tone than straight tubes,
All models available with an optional stainless mouthpiece.
Since all
diameters are precison ground to tight tolerences (+/-0.001") the
instrument slides effortlessly and seals with no O-rings. The
carbon has been sealed and can be treated with trombone slide products.
Great
Highland
Bagpipe Chanters & Accessories
The
Great Highland
A440 whistle is our latest addition to this family,
its a performance quality alternative to the practice chanter.
A true 440 instrument that plays with exact fingering of the
Great Highland Bagpipe with the whistles ability to play two
octaves. Since it plays the highland scale it is
in the key of D and has perfect intonation for
sitting in an Irish session. No one will know you are working on
your highland fingering technique.
The
CarbonyTM practice
chanter
with counter sunk finger holes speaks volumes
above standard softwood or petroleum products. The base chanter is
carbon
fiber with stainless steel fitments. Accurate finger placement and
tuning is key
for
this product.
We
have developed a line of Highland chanters with Custom trim and
fittings with two distinct bore geometries: Concert Bb
and Competition
pitch(10 Hz sharp). They are built
to order with
such options as a threaded reed seat,
satin, mesh or gloss finish, standard
or thin neck (for smaller hands).
Once
these chanters are built we can trim them with black carbon, anodized
aluminum, brass or stainless steel. With the anodized
aluminum we provide a range of
color or can match a swath upon request.
Laser marking the bell is also an
option on all metal fittings (aluminum or steel) put your band logo
front and
center!
