Great
Highland
Bagpipe Chanters & Accessories
We
have developed a line of Highland chanters with Custom trim and
fittings with two distinct bore geometries: Concert Bb
(sound file by Wylie McKinnon) and Competition
pitch(10 Hz sharp). They are built
to order with
such options as a threaded reed seat,
satin, mesh or gloss finish, standard
or thin neck (for smaller hands).
Once
these chanters are built we can trim them with black carbon, anodized
aluminum, brass or stainless steel. With the anodized
aluminum we provide a range of
color or can match a swath upon request.
Laser marking the bell is also an
option on all metal fittings (aluminum or steel) put your band logo
front and
center!
The Carbony practice chanter with counter sunk finger holes speaks volumes above standard softwood or petroleum products. The base chanter is carbon fiber with anodized aluminum fitments. Good presence and tuning is key for this product.
The Carbony goose is our latest addition to this family, it
incorporates our
practice chanter design with fitments and finger hole size and spacing
into a highland bag. This allows practice of the bag and fingering in
an indoor setting — plug the drones and pop in a goose!
Galician Chanters
The
first of all carbon fiber
instruments is now available for
everyone! Puntero in the key of C (Do) and D (Re) crafted from plans
out of Santiago De Compostela. We also offer a practice recorder that
has been modified to play the Galician scale.
And in the works is a
single drone Gaita (Bagpipe) constructed entirely from carbon fiber.

Whistles
Our
high D whistle
(sound file by Casey Dyer)
was a sellout in
Seattle, so we are adding to
our product line. If a whistle could have ever been built of ebony this
is
what it would sound like. The thin wall process of our tapered
whistle design gives incredible response of the lower octave. when
playing with other instruments these notes are rarely heard, but not
with carbony! We give the whistle player a greater low end
producting a volume balance in all registers. Also available in C and in low
whistle keys of G and D with anodized aluminum Tilbury fipples!
