Kennedy has a couple Carbony™
whistles that are very presidential. Peter Purvis Peter
Pervis with a first toot impression of the Great Highland Whistle at
the 2011 Chicago Irish Cultural Center Festival. He currently has a Bb
model. Peter grew up in the small village of Merrickville, located in the Ottawa Valley, Canada. An area famous for its fiddle players, step dancing and maple syrup. He began playing the Highland pipes at the age of 12 and began playing the Uilleann pipes and Irish whistle at the age of 16. Growing up, he had great opportunities to play with some of Canada's finest pipe bands and receive lessons from some of the best known pipers in the world. It was these lessons from elite pipers at a very young age that helped to mold him into the player he is today. Peter has an accomplished solo career, he has won several championship supreme titles in North America as well as gold medals in both light music and Piobaireachd at the North American championships. His solo career took him to Gr.1 before taking a leave from competitions to play with the international-touring band, Gaelic Storm. He has been playing with Gaelic Storm full-time since 2004 and has played venues with artists such as; Barenaked Ladies, Sara McLachlan, Collective Soul, Better Than Ezra, Sister Hazel, Great Big Sea, Lyle Lovett, Hanson, The Chieftains and many others..... When Peter is not on the road, he spends his time pursuing his MBA, teaching bagpipes, playing in sessions, and doing studio work.
Coyote Run David
recently aquired a
Carbony™ mezzo A whistle. Coyote Run bends all preconceived notions of Celtic Rock. Roots, Celtic folk, jazz, latin, rock opera: check all or none. Their sound is at once fierce, dramatic and stunning. Over the years it has grown wild, organically and perennially. Complex yet purely infectious arrangements include combinations of keyboards, drums, bass, bagpipes, guitar, whistle, accordion, vibraphone, percussion, trombone, and fiddle. Add layers of pitch-perfect vocal harmonies and literate story-rich lyrics. The sound is singularly Coyote Run. They are a wild breed unto themselves: bold, sexy and intellectual.

In this way, they have created a sound unique unto themselves. Celtic mythology, Greek and Latin, accompanied by Celtic harp and
didgeridoo.
Rapalje David
Myles plays the
Carbony™
D
whistle. "Rapalje is a bit of a wonder. The first we ever saw of them was one of the band's members in his mother's skirt in a pub in Groningen called '1672'. Then we started seeing them around the sessions in O'Ceallaigh Irish pub in Groningen. And next we knew it, these lads had developed themselves into wonderful musicians, with a keen ear for a good tune or song, and a style of their own. Rapalje hasn't taken the easy road, but have managed to become accomplished, entertaining musicians and a craic of a band, without losing their enthusiasm, their originality and their own, inimitable style."
Blacksmith James
Harvey has one of every
Carbony™

Jam Ruaridh
Pringle travels with a Carbony™
three section slide didge.
Tattie
Jam offer a distinctive
brew of songs, from dark ballads and protest songs to off-the wall
humour, and tunes ranging from slow airs to kinetic jigs and reels.
Much of the material's given a playful or funky contemporary twist,
with contrast provided by the odd starker a capella song or
unaccompanied tune. It's a varied but harmonious blend of reinterpreted
traditional Scottish songs and tunes, and songs and tunes written by
Ruaridh. Thoughtful arrangements and harmonised vocals whilst playing
elements of lead, rhythm and percussion give Tattie Jam a sound that's
unmistakable, and surprises new listeners with its size and
scope.
